Working with young people at Annan Harbour
Involving young people in Annan Harbour Action Group activities has been at the core of everything the group have done since 2016. So, when AHAG was reviewing its staffing needs in Spring 2021 it decided to allocate unspent grant funding from the Holywood and Robertson Trusts to take on a part-time dedicated youth worker. Later with some earned income from a covid recovery fund this post was extended through to March 2022.
The appointed post-holder has provided youth activities at all the events mentioned above, made contact with other youth work providers and strengthened connections with schools. This provision will be built into future fund-raising bids.
