Water-based activities at Annan Harbour
Coastal rowing attracts all age groups and hundreds of people have tried the sport at Annan Harbour, with around 40 rowing regularly from Annan.
Power boating has allowed Annan Harbour Action Group to train young people up to RYA level 2 standard so that they can provide safety cover for small boat users. A number of these young helms have received Saltire Awards for their dedicated volunteering achievements.
A 21-date summer youth activity programme, delivered in July and August 2021, provided 103 young people with 63 boating sessions. For many this was their first outing on the river Annan in a small boat and according to the feedback collected was much enjoyed.
